Ghost Fields' sound can be hard to pin down. But imagine some combination of the words "ambient," "techno," "acid," and "kraut" and you'll be somewhere in the vicinity. You might even be close enough to hear a muffled kick drum pattern through the wall of a dilapidated warehouse building in SE Gainesville. During his live performances he prefers to stay pretty busy, arranging complex hardware manipulation and live loop recording into densely layered textures of synths, samples, and the occasional effect soaked guitar part. Keep an eye out for his debut LP later this year.
